Selected Works

A man's face in tight close-up against black, lit from both sides at once: warm amber on the left, cold cyan on the right, the two meeting down the line of his nose. Brow to chin fills the frame and he looks straight at the camera.

PiecePlaceholder, split light study

A near-square crop across both of a man's eyes and the bridge of his nose. Orange light covers the left half of the face and cyan the right, the two colours meeting along the nose, his gaze slightly raised.

PiecePlaceholder, the hinge

A tall crop of one side of a man's face against black. Warm light holds the near cheek, nose and lips at the left edge, while a strong teal light wraps the brow, the open eye, the cheekbone and the ear.

PiecePlaceholder, cool half

A black and white crop of the lower half of a man's face, seen head-on: nostrils at the top edge, closed lips, stubble across the jaw and neck, and the collar of a dark t-shirt at the bottom. Hard side light leaves the centre in deep shadow.

Placeholder, split light study

A tall crop holding one half of a man's face at the right of the frame, the rest black. Warm amber light falls across the brow, one open brown eye, the cheek and the lips, with a thin cold blue highlight along the far edge of the nose and mouth.

Placeholder, warm half

An empty studio corner washed in soft amber light, brightest at the top left and falling away to black at the right and along the bottom, with a faint seam where the wall meets the floor.

Placeholder, the hinge

An empty studio wash of teal light, near-black across the top of the frame and brightening toward the bottom, with a faint horizontal seam a third of the way down where the wall meets the floor.

Placeholder, cyan light study

A close crop of one eye and the near side of a man's nose in warm brown light, a small white catchlight in the iris, while a cold blue-green light strikes the far cheek and the far edge of the nose at the right of the frame.

Placeholder, warm eye

A black and white crop from the nose down: parted lips, a short beard along the chin and jaw, the neck, and a dark crew collar. The light comes from the left and the right of the frame falls away into black.
